An Introduction to Wood Engraving

Service Description

Over the four weeks you’ll be led through the process of wood engraving by Keith: from creating a suitable design, engraving your design into a wood block to printing it on the studio 1849 Albion Printing Press. This course is suitable for beginners. Two wood blocks, paper and ink are included and the studios tools will be available to use. The course costs £180.00. Disability access isn't great unfortunately. The studio is in an old converted service station and it has steps into the entrances and the studio has a split level with steps. The course is held at Keith's studio at Village Works, East Hoathly, Nr. Lewes, E.Sx. BN8 6QA. The workshop fire will be lit and there will be free teas and coffees. Classes sizes will be kept small, so please don’t delay in booking. A £50 deposit is required to secure your place. Please include your email and a balancing invoice will be sent in the run up to the course.
