Product Details

Inspired by the magic of mid summer - the evening light enduring until so late creates such a feeling of other worldliness to me. In this image, a field of growing wheat is skimmed by both the dipping sun and a Barn Owl working the field margins in the fading light. The title is taken form Walter de la Mare's poem 'Summer Evening'.

Printed by hand on an 1849 Albion Press from the original engraved block 150mm x 100mm, on Libre Arches mould made paper. In an edition of 125, each signed and numbered by the artist.
