Product Details

I had the privilege of working with the National Trust to create a sculpture trail at Sheffield Park. It meant I was working deep in an isolated woodland throughout a winter. A wood is I think at its shining best during winter - and one of the glories is the short days, bringing the low afternoon light flooding liquid like through the trees. This engraving was inspired by that time.

'Shimper' is an old Sussex dialect word meaning "to shine brightly".

The engraving measures 75mm x 100mm, is hand printed in an edition of 200 on hand made Zerkall paper
